Certified title Professional Hotel Butler
The hotel & cruise Butler plays an essential role in high-end and luxury hotels. He is the main guarantor of a palace’s service excellence. Its role is to provide a unique service tailored to customers’ wishes, anticipating needs and ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
Depending on the hotel, the role can vary from organizing and coordinating the lobby service in a hotel, to managing the suites in a palace.This job is carried out in 4 or 5 star hotels, Resorts, Cruise Line, working with customers and various other staff (reception, luggage storage, restaurant, room service, etc.).

The Tuition Fee cost of three weeks training program is € 4.500,- at our school
To secure your place in the program, we require fee of € 1.000. The remaining balance of € 3.500,- for the training fee should be settled no later than 40 days before the start of the program. All prices are net and are calculated per person. Board and lodging are not included.
The following is included in the tuition fee:
- Three weeks training will be presented with professional trainers (graduated with Distinction from The International Butler Academy) in our training facilitation in Cologne - Germany, where we train every season the future cruise ships employee for the pre boarding training and the magamement skill profile training for variouse clients from the cruise and hotel industry.
- Students have their own private and very comfortable room bedrooms. All bedrooms have a window with a beautiful view on the Rhine River.
- All transportation, including all field trips in The Netherlands and Germany (if scheduled), plus transportation to and from train and/or airports. More information about this will be shared once you are enrolled.
- More important than anything is that you will receive a framed, internationally recognized Hotel & Cruise Butler certification from our Academy.
Basic Program Description
Recognizing that the butler is a key element in a team of professionals in hotel, resorts and cruise line ships, along with striving to deliver a level of individualized service that exceeds the expectation of the guest, the TRAINING PROGRAM provides a very intensive and exciting approach for students in creating a pathway of awareness of individualized detailed, seamless guest service.
HOTEL & Cruise Butlers are trained to take gentle care of all their guests from arrival until departure without imposing themselves on the guest. The attention to detail required, and the ability to anticipate the needs of guest’s is a pivotal part of this motivating butler service training program.

Valet service (3 practical training days)
Through a combination of classroom type instruction, practical demonstrations, practice exercises, and skills testing, you will develop a working knowledge of the essential elements of advanced valet service, including:
- Important nuances in the relationship between the employer, guest, and valet
- Principles of discretion and confidentiality, and how to maintain them
- Proactive anticipation of employer and guest needs.
- Arrangement, return, and storage of guests' laundry
- Proper packing and unpacking of suitcases and other luggage
- Methods of shoe polishing/cleaning
- Management and correct ironing/pressing/starching and folding of guest garments
- Tying of gentlemen's bow ties and other ties
- Preparation and planning personal valet services prior to guest arrival.
